HMAC was founded on the philosophy of offering cultural resource management
to clients on a timely basis and at competitive rates with the highest standards of professionalism and research design.
HMAC is a small archaeological consulting firm based in Troy, NY offering
Phase IA/IB, Phase II & smaller Phase III investigations throughout the Capital District of NY and
the Upper Hudson Valley. We specialize in detailed laboratory analysis of
faunal bone and prehistoric lithic technology. We also offer high quality
artifact photography and conservation services.
Nancy M. Clark, M.A. - President & Principal Investigator
Ms. Clark has over nine years of experience in archaeology and has
participated in numerous prehistoric and historic field investigations.
She has been responsible for collections management for over five years. Her
responsibilities included database management, conservation services and
Ms. Clark received her masters in Northeast Archaeology from Skidmore College in
2005. She is qualified as 36 CFR 61 archeologist and specializes in faunal bone analysis.

L. Jason Fenton - Vice President & Project Manager
Mr. Fenton has over twelve years of archaeological experience in prehistoric
and historic contexts. He has worked on numerous sites ranging from Central Mexico, the Southeast to the Northeast. He has participated in all aspects of
CRM, from running projects and report writing to performing specialized lab
analysis. Mr. Fenton has performed various duties as Project Manager,
Field Director, Field Technician and was Assistant Lab Director for five years where he
was responsible for overseeing lithic analysis and artifact photography.
